What is happening to your body at 11 DPO?

At 11 DPO, your embryo may be implanting in the uterine wall. The embryo can implant anytime between 6 days past ovulation and 12 days past ovulation.
The embryo keeps diving and growing and moves down the fallopian tube into the uterus. It attaches itself to the wall of the uterus and burrows itself inside of it. It begins to release the pregnancy hormone, HCG, which typically doubles every 48 hrs.
Some embryos may take longer time to implant than others. That is why implantation may occur anytime between 6 DPO and 12 DPO.
Due to the increase in HCG and progesterone, you may feel many symptoms at 11 DPO, or you may not. It depends on your body, and how well you are aware of the changes that occur to your body.
You may feel symptoms during your first pregnancy and not in the next. Sometimes, your body reacts to a pregnancy differently each time.
But, most women feel symptoms at at least one time in the journey of pregnancy. If you are one of the women who don’t feel anything, then you are lucky. Pregnancy symptoms can be brutal.
What are some pregnancy symptoms at 11 DPO?

Pregnancy symptoms at 11 DPO include implantation cramping, implantation bleeding, tender breasts and nipples, frequent urination, headaches, nausea and vomiting.
11 DPO Cramping
Implantation cramping occurs when the embryo enters into the uterine wall and tries to bury itself deeper. It feels like cramps in your lower abdominal area. It shouldn’t be so painful like period cramps.
Mine felt like something was pinching me inside my lower area. It kept coming and going for a few hours. The next day I didn’t feel anything. During all three pregnancies, I felt cramping before 11 days past ovulation.
However, many pregnant women do feel it at 11 DPO. Not all women feel implantation cramping. So, it is kay if you do not feel anything.
Tender Breasts 11 DPO
Tender breasts and sensitive nipples are very common pregnancy symptoms. They could also be symptoms that hint your period is coming.
Pregnancy nipples and breasts hurt much more. You would notice the difference. Try not to touch them if they hurt.
During early pregnancy, your body automatically tells your body to prepare for milk production. Your breasts glands begin to loosen up and expand. Milk production is a long process. That is why you may feel this symptom very early on.
The milk you produce will be sole food for your child for the first 6 months if you choose to breast feed.
Frequent Urination at 11 DPO
Frequent urination can occur if your pregnant at 11 DPO. Make sure you are not simply drinking too much because obviously that will cause you to urinate too much.
If you are drinking too much and are urinating too much, you may be pregnant. Your body during early pregnancy tells your kidneys to work more because of the increased blood flow. As a result, your kids would make more urine.
I did not experience this symptom with any of my pregnancies. So, it is okay if you don’t either.
11 DPO Headache
When you become pregnant, your blood flow will increase. The increased circulation of blood can cause headaches. Also, hormonal changes can cause migraines and headaches during pregnancy.
This can start as early as 11 days past ovulation. It usually peaks at 9 weeks of pregnancy.
Unfortunately, later on in pregnancy, headaches can be a sign of preeclampsia.
Implantation Bleeding 11 DP0
Implantation bleeding can occur at 11 DPO. The bleeding is usually not heavy, pinkish or brownish, and not enough to fill a panty liner.
It is not very common. Most women do not have implantation bleeding. Only one out of three pregnant women experience this.
11 DPO Nausea and Vomiting
Progesterone and HCG are both hormones that cause morning sickness. Many women experience this symptom.
You could have nausea alone without vomiting. For me, I felt there was something wrong with my tummy and I lost my appetite completely.
It started around 9 DPO for my first pregnancy and during the 6 week during my third. I didn’t feel during my chemical pregnancy.
If you feel that your tummy is off, just take a pregnancy test.
You could reduce morning sickness by eating smaller meals and more frequent meals. Just keep snacking, and eat gum between meals to get the metallic taste out of your mouth. That is what worked with me.
11 DPO Cervical Mucus
Your cervical mucus, vaginal secretion, can change during early pregnancy. It becomes more thick and can have a touch of blood in it.
The blood is the implantation bleeding I mentioned before. You could start bleeding (spotting) at 7 DPO, 8 DPO, 9 DPO, 10 DPO or 11 DPO. It shouldn’t be heavy bleeding like your period or have clots in it.
See a doctor if you are in pain and are bleeding.
Your cervical mucus will continue to become thicker in order to create the mucus plug. The mucus plug closes your cervix up and protects any bacteria from going inside the uterus. This ensures a healthy pregnancy.
You might lose the mucus plug several times during your pregnancy, but it will rebuild itself. You would permanently lose it right before labor.
What should I do if I have no symptoms at 11 DPO?

You shouldn’t do anything id you have no symptoms at 11 DP0. Having very early pregnancy symptoms is not common. Usually, symptoms start showing up when you hit 6 weeks of pregnancy.
You could be pregnant and have no symptoms at all during your entire pregnancy. Symptoms are not reliable to determine whether you are pregnant or not. Only pregnancy tests can confirm a pregnancy.
During my first pregnancy, I felt symptoms from 7 DPO. During my second, I felt them around 12 DPO. During my third, I only felt implantation cramping at 7 DPO.
When should I take a pregnancy test?
The best time to take a at-home pregnancy test is at 15 DPO. That is one day after you expect your period. Usually, pregnancy tests would be accurate at that time unless you have made a mistake in determining what day you have ovulated.
If you have implanted after 11 DPO, a pregnancy test may not be positive at 15 DPO. So, if you think you are pregnant and are still getting a negative at 15 DPO, I recommend retesting in 48 hrs with a first response pregnancy test.
These tests can detect a pregnancy every early on because it detects an HCG level of 5 MIU/Ml. That is very low. You could also take a blood test at your doctors office which can detect early pregnancies.
You could test as early as 7 DPO. Some women have gotten positive at 7 DPO, but most get false negatives.
BFP at 11 DPO
So, you got a big fat positive at 11 DPO. That’s great. Many women get positives at 11 days past ovulation. The line may be faint, but it does confirm a pregnancy test.
I recommend retesting every 48 hrs for a few days to make sure it gets darker. This may rule out a chemical pregnancy, which is a pregnancy that ends before 5 weeks of pregnancy.
My second pregnancy ended as a chemical pregnancy. My positive line didn’t get darker, and after a few days it became lighter until my period arrived. Most women do not even notice chemical pregnancies since your period may still arrive when they expect it. It might just be a few days late.
Unfortunately, evaporation lines also exist. So, make sure to take more than one pregnancy test to confirm the pregnancy.
BFN at 11 DPO
You may get a big fat negative at 11 DPO, and still be pregnant. You should not rule out a pregnancy until you are sure your period has arrived.
A BFN at 11 days past ovulation is more common that you think. You may have calculated your ovulation day incorrectly, or your embryo may have implanted late. Either way, your test would not be positive at 11 DPO.
So, wait a few days and retest if you think you may be pregnant. Trust your instincts. I knew I was pregnant before a test turned positive during all three of my pregnancies. I just knew my body well.
How accurate is at pregnancy test at 11 days past ovulation?
A pregnancy test at 11 DPO is quite accurate; you would have a 63 percent chance of getting a positive at 11 DPO. Just use the pregnancy test correctly, and use a sensitive one.
If you can’t wait another three days, then I recommend testing. You should get a clue if you are pregnant.
If you would like to test more than one time, then I recommend using pregnancy strips that come as multiples. They are cheap.
You wouldn’t feel guilty for using more than one per day. Some come in a pack on 50. So, you could have fun.
Conclusion
If you are having symptoms at 11 DPO, you could be pregnant. However, you cannot guarantee a pregnancy without confirming it with your doctor.
Just take a pregnancy test at home for now. Once, you see a positive go visit your doctor.
