More than 90 percent of pregnant women get stretch marks. They usually notice the first ones between weeks 13 and 21 of pregnancy. They usually appear on the abdomen, thighs, breasts, butt, back, and flank.

You are likely going to get stretch marks if your mom has had them, your young and have tight skin, you got them before puberty or you gain too much weight quickly during pregnancy.

  • Laser Stretch Mark Removal

3 babies have meant that bikinis are not high up on my list of things to wear. I started using Bio-Oil but I was so forgetful about applying it!

I used plain shea butter on my belly, and found that worked really well for me as well. I didn’t get stretch marks on my belly, but definitely elsewhere from the pregnancy weight gain. Thaks for the informative article.

I was fortunate not to get them on my stomach but I did get them on my breasts. They have faded over time.

I don’t believe there is any way to get rid of stretch marks unless you do surgery. You can lighten them, but that’s about it. I used so much lotion when I was pregnant and still ended up with them. Honestly, it’s not the end of the world. We put too much pressure on ourselves to look perfect.
